Halloween Makeup...in October this time!

Tomorrow is Halloween!
I love this time of year - it's the time that I get all of my jewellery (Poundland's halloween necklaces make my life, and I do love wearing gothicy jewellery.)
Another thing that I love about it is the dressing up and makeup.

At the weekend, I went to Camden with a few friends, and we went into Cyberdog where the workers had the best Halloween makeup I have ever seen.
It made me really want to do some makeup myself.
And seeing as I'm attending a halloween mini-festival on Friday, I have a perfect excuse to!

But now I need your help deciding which look to do.

Here are the options:

1/ Doll Face Makeup. I'm just adding the link to the post about it, rather than re-uploading the pictures.
Differences: Use a real white eyeliner; use white aquacolour which will dry and go on nicely, rather than the white foundation which was patchy and smudgey; wear some fake lashes, and a little fake blood around the "staples"?

2/ Simple Zombie Makeup. Again, just the link.
Differences: Add some actual fake blood, rather than using red lippy, and use proper makeup so that the base doesn't go as patchy as it did.

3/ Clown Makeup.

N.B. That isn't me in the picture, but it was me who did the makeup. And I did that makeup so many times that I can easily do it again on myself.
The things that would be different if this was the design I choose: The bald cap/hair, because I don't own a premade bald cap and dont have time to make one, and the eyebrows because I don't have any wax or sealent to flatten down my own brows to paint the big black ones over the top. Instead I would just blacken my own.
Outfit: Anything. Everything! Basically, I dont know. Because I think this will work just as well with either clowny clothes, or regular clothes.

4/ Broken Doll Makeup.

Now I think if this was the design that I am going to do I would firstly spend a little longer on this so that I could get the lines perfect, rather than rushing to get it done, photographed and off before my parents got home and had a good old laugh at me. Secondly, I would make my eyes more doll like with white eyeliner and false lashes. Finally, I would have to sort out the lips. They look awful! I would attempt to make them look more like the lips in my "Doll Face Makeup".
Outfit: Cutesy-gothic dress and either military boots or black pumps.

5/ Simple Zombie Makeup (Version II).

Fake blood, fake blood, I love fake blood...! Well it does make so much of a difference to how the makeup looks. I think if this was the design that I am going to do then I would probably add some more fake blood, from the corners of the eyes perhaps? And would have my hair messy and down.
Outfit: A skirt and shirt of some sort. Perhaps even corset up. I love corsets.

So there you have it. The different halloween-style makeup looks that I have tried so far.
Any ideas which I should go for? Or have you any other ideas that I could try (links to pictures, etc.)? Have you done any awesome halloween makeup over this spooky time of year?

My Return, A Hair Post? Who'd've Guessed It?

Now I was writing a post to mark my return, about everything I've bought since I last posted. Then I changed my mind and was writing a post about what I've done on my makeup course so far. But now I've decided on something else.

First thing first, Hello again!!! Sorry for the long absence, but I've been so damn busy. Why?
Well this is what I've done in the past...however long it's been since last time:
  • Started my "Theatrical, Special Effects and Hair and Media Makeup" course.
  • Spent a lot of money on makeup and nail polishes.
  • Joined mylocal YMCA fitness Centre.
  • Gave up drinking for a month (and now just cut down considerably).
  • Lost half a stone.
  • Had an on-off cold.
  • Seen my favourite band ever....again (for the record, it's Young Guns. And for the record, every time they play "Stitches" I cry. Very embarrassing!)
  • Decided on a different font.
  • Got my 5th follower (yay!)
  • And started Christmas shopping.
So yeah. Busy.

The rest of the post will be dedicated to my hair. Or specifically, a hairstyle I had once.
On Wednesday my makeup teacher did my hair and makeup as a demo to the class. It was one of the most awesome things to ever have happened to my head.

This was the hair:

(Please ignore the face. I was in a mood and a hurry, because it was windy and raining for my walk home which started to make my hair drop. Sorting it was another thing I had to do in my 15 mins I had to get ready for Young Guns. Not a happy bunny...even though it all worked out anyways.)

Right, so then I thought "Hey, why not have a go myself?"
Now bear in mind that I never got to see my hair being put up (not facing a mirror, and even if I was, no glasses), so had no clue what my teacher did to achieve it apart from how it felt and the finished product. Also, I hadnt looked at the photos since yesterday morning.

But nevertheless, I dont think it turned out too badly:

As I said, I don't think it's all that bad an attempt, but now that I've seen the original photos again, I want to try once more, because I can see things that I didn't do right.

Oh, and to show you how cool I find rolls in hair; here's a picture that I took from the back of the roll through it:

Hello!

So there you have it. I'm back with a vengence and shan't be leaving anytime soon!
Hope you've liked this post. Have any of you done anything fun with your hair recently?
