A Trip to a Little Town Called "Dublin"

Wow, long time no post!
As you can see, I took a little trip to Dublin earlier this month. And this post is basically going to be a little piece of that.

Before I left, I decided to make myself a nice little ankle pouch to carry some money in, so I didn't need to have all of my money in my purse.
I took a piece of material, a needle, some thread some scissors, and a cup of tea (trust me, thats very important!) and went about crafting. Now, I'm certainly not the best seamstress, but where this pouch was going to be deep in my boot at all times, it didn't matter how badly it looked.

My handiwork. Looks bad, but was very useful.

And there is is around my ankle.

Then I also decided to paint my nails. After trying out a few different designs, I decided to go for a simple black with a single green rhinestone on each finger. Apart from on my ring finger, where I put 2 gold rhinestones and a little gold heart.
My reasoning behind this: once upon a time I read in a women's magazine that if you're a single girl, you should make the nail on your ring finger look different to draw attention to the lack of ring and, therefore, your singleness. Now, this is completely false.
Why? Because in what world would a guy notice a different design on one finger? And even if they did, they'd never put it together with being a single pringle. Much too girlie an idea.
But I just really like having one finger different to the others, without it being the thumb.

Dublin nails. Pretty, no?

And now I'm going to just put a few pictures from my time in Dublin. They're mostly of the zoo, because I liked the animals. So cute. Oh and Guinness. I do like Guinness. Be prepared for lots and lots of photographs now.

Hello Guinness.

Goodbye Guinness.

"And I stand at the gates screaming 'I am not afraid' but there's no-one listening to me." ....Only because they'd think I was drunk after spending too long at the Guinness Storehouse. =]

My friend who I went to Dublin with. This is the point when she was in a Jail cell.

   Baby hippo. So cute!

 Mama and baby hippo.

 Zebras! Never seen zebras before.

 Look at the eyelashes!!!

 Such a pretty animal.

 Rhinos!

Lookie at the baba monkey! Nyawww!

This monkey was such a poser!!

 Hunting Dog.

 Sleepy lioness.

Wolf.

Flamingos. I never realised quite how pink they are!

So many stripes!

Elephant feeding time.

Their trunks were so cool!

Chameleon.

Crocodile. I thought it was a statue until it blinked. Scary. But also smiley =]

Mama snuffle and baby snuffle. Cannee remember their actual name! So cute!
EDIT: I've remembered that they're called Tapirs!

The two teenie monkeys decided to snuggle up together. Was waay too adorable!

This monkey looked like it was wearing makeup. Really sweet.

And that was my Dublin trip. Hope you enjoyed the large amount of pictures!

A Bit of a Random Mix

It's been a fair while since I last posted. I was going to keep this short and sweet, but I dont think that is going to happen to be honest!

So first things first, Jubilee Weekend. Parties, time off, etc? No, it just means I'm working more, because they need people in for the bank holidays. But in celebration I decided to do a little nail art.

I used flat stones, rhine stones and a couple of nail art pens. I only did one nail on one hand, mainly because my non dominant hand is not steady enough to do a design and my other nails are much too small to do the design on.
I'm also trying to decide which colour to paint the rest of my nails. At the moment they are a pastel peach colour, which works fine, but if anyone has any suggestions about the others, then do say!

NEXT. I ordered a corset on the 11th May for a theatre performance that I'm doing in July. It came today. Lookie!

It's so gorgeous, the photos don't do it justice at all! I have to say that I have never owned such a beautiful piece of clothing before. It's surprisingly comfortable too. But incredibly heavy. I was shocked by the weight of it. And when you take it off, your body doesnt feel like yours anymore. It feels like a mixture of lead and air: both very light and incredibly heavy. Silly body.

Lastly. My friend L. Figment from Good Morning Angel tagged me in this "versatile blogger award" thing, whic is basically a tagging thing where you have to say 7 secrets about yourself.

1. I have an unhealthy obsession with Ian Somerhalder and Matt Davis in "The Vampire Diaries". They are way too good looking!

2. I drink. A lot. (not a secret among those who know me, but I dont tend to broadcast it across the internet...until now!) E.g. last night I was sitting home by myself. I got through 2 bottles of wine and 2 cans of Brothers cider. Oops!

3. I play a lot of random kids games online. Miss Bimbo, Cromimi, My Candy Love, etc. It's so embarassingly addictive and fun!

4. I hate sorting out photos. I love taking them, love looking at them, but sorting them takes so long and I never know which ones to bin!

5. I enjoy Jersey Shore and Geordie Shore. Don't ask me why, they're just so funny! The first time I watched an episode of Jersey Shore I was confused because I couldn't believe that they were actual personalities, not a scripted charatcer! Always great for when you're in the mood for a laugh.

6. I HATE the sun. It's horrible, all hot and burny! I'd rather rain and snow. Well, maybe not snow. I dont really like that either.

7. I love a bit of smutty romantic fiction. Perhaps a bit weird, but it's insanely satisfying to read. Marian Keyes is definitely my favourite author! So if you like adult rom-com fictions, go check her out! It's weird that I love them so much when I hate rom-com films!

Right, so that's my 7. I tag everyone who reads this. If you do this, then post a link in the comments so I can see what you put!

And that's me done for today. If I get chance I shall stick up another post this week. I have got quite a few lined up so hopefully that'll happen!
